The Coastal Watershed Council preserves and protects coastal watersheds through community stewardship, education and monitoring. Through a variety of fun and innovative science-based education programs, CWC encourages children and adults to learn about and engage with our local watersheds. CWC designs and implements water quality monitoring programs for creeks, streams and storm drains providing local leaders and the public with critical data on watershed health. The Coastal Watershed Council has been hard at work in recent months, launching a new effort to revitalize the San Lorenzo River. CWC aims to forge a public-private partnership with key agencies, technical experts, community leaders and the public who can come together to bring a sense of safety, connection, and pride to the beautiful San Lorenzo River flowing through the heart of Santa Cruz!
