Mission West was taken over in January of 2026 by four long time friends and surfers who have lived on the westside of Santa Cruz for over 30 years. Peter and Krista Cook of Light House Realty joined forces with restaurant industry couple Jamey Nelson and Amy Di Chiro. With deep ties to The Crepe Place, Amy and Jamey have used their experience to create a welcoming environment full of music, events, games, and friends that inspires having fun all the time. As much as new bar ownership deserves a giant party, Mission West is only a success because of its incredible bar tenders: Steve, Kendall, Megs, Holly and Megan. Everyone is working together to create a community gathering space that respects all walks of life, offers a beautiful clean bar, and quality drinks that keep you and your dog coming back.
