We’re excited to announce that the Tim Brauch Memorial Skateboard Bowl event is making a return in 2023 in collaboration with World Cup Skateboarding. What’s even more exciting is that this year, the event will take place for the first time in Santa Cruz on September 9th and 10th, 2023.
With a generous prize purse of $27,500 up for grabs, the competition isn’t just about thrilling skateboarding; it’s also a fundraiser for skateboard summer camp scholarships at Woodward West. The TIM BRAUCH FOUNDATION firmly believes that when children are active and participate in character-building leadership programs like the WOODWARD WEST skateboard camp, they’ll integrate and apply these valuable qualities such as character development, independence, and initiative in all aspects of their lives. The TIM BRAUCH FOUNDATION also recognizes that WOODWARD WEST shares these core values and boasts positive adult and teen role models.
Here’s a sneak peek at the event schedule: We’ll kick things off with an Amateur competition on Saturday, followed by Pro, Pro Women, Masters, and Grandmasters events on Sunday.

We’ll have live music by CURB CREEPS and HEAVY BLAZER!

The skateboard contest is at Mike Fox Skatepark AKA Ken Wormhoudt Skate Park on September 9th and 10th! Come out and see Am’s, Pro;s, Master’s and Grand Master’s skate!

The foundation focuses on creating scholarships and leadership programs that reward individuals who exemplify self-respect and meet challenges with perseverance, independence, creativity, and integrity. Additionally, it supports an interactive art program in Tim’s honor.
