Wharf to Wharf Race
The Wharf to Wharf Race is a beloved Santa Cruz tradition and one of the most scenic and festive 6-mile races in California. The point-to-point course follows the coastline from Santa Cruz to Capitola, featuring ocean views, live music, and an energetic, community-driven atmosphere that welcomes runners and walkers of all levels.
2026 Course Update: Due to ongoing construction at the Murray Street Bridge, this year’s race will start at 30th Avenue and Portola Drive instead of the Santa Cruz Wharf. The finish remains unchanged in Capitola Village, delivering the same iconic downhill finish and vibrant post-race celebration.
Registration Dates:
– Local Registration (Santa Cruz County residents): Opens March 31, 2026
– General Registration: Opens April 1, 2026
With limited entries and a history of selling out quickly, early registration is strongly encouraged.
