Inaugural event takes place Friday, May 20, and features food trucks, music by Coffee Zombie Collective

SANTA CRUZ, CA (April 13, 2022) — Housing Matters today announced it will host the Good Neighbor Social, a block party-style event with live music and food trucks at Harvey West Clubhouse on May 20.

The Good Neighbor Social is a fundraiser to help end homelessness in Santa Cruz County and will feature food trucks and local restaurant popups. Attendees will enjoy local beer and wine, dessert by The Penny Ice Creamery and live music from local favorite Coffee Zombie Collective.

The benefit is the first in-person fundraising event Housing Matters has hosted since the pandemic began. For 20 years, the organization had hosted Soupline, a community dinner party and benefit.

“We are looking forward to bringing friends and neighbors together to reconnect after a difficult couple of years and to raise money to help those experiencing homelessness” said Phil Kramer, Chief Executive Officer of Housing Matters. “The Good Neighbor Social is a great opportunity for locals to support solutions to end homelessness in our community and make a difference in a tangible way.”

The event will be held at the Harvey West Clubhouse from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, May 20. Tickets are $60 each or two for $100, and include one drink, dinnerand dessert. Tickets are available in advance on Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/good-neighbor-social-tickets-319072964827.
