This week, two young Santa Cruz entrepreneurs launched Offstreet Supply Co.. The spark of the idea for a new apparel brand came to Jacob Dennis and Bennett Elkin in the midst of the pandemic. They knew that job opportunities would be sparse, and they wanted to gain business experience while creating something unique.

These two Santa Cruz High graduates became close while attending UC Santa Barbara. They grew up carousing with friends, many of whom surf, skate, snowboard, mountain bike, and travel the world. Through Bennett’s designs and Jacob’s marketing, they decided to create a brand that let everyone feel included in their lifestyle. Offstreet is about making everybody feel welcome and adventurous during these uncertain times….even while our ability to get out is limited.

Offstreet is trying to keep a high bar for environmental responsibility. Their apparel is certified organic cotton from factories that share their commitment to quality. They plan to share stories of their adventures and those of their customers as they expand the brand in new ways. Their launch this week far exceeded their sales expectations, and they’re excited to release new designs and apparel styles soon to add their initial collection of tees, long sleeves, and hats. You can check them out at http://offstreetsupply.com or @offstreetsupply on Instagram.
